Prof. Barnabas Nawangwe

Prof. Barnabas Nawangwe served as a Deputy Vice-Chancellor in charge of Finance and Administration at Makerere University. He has previously acted as Principal, College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology. Prior to that, he was the Dean of the Faculty of Technology and Associate Dean of the Faculty of Technology.

He was the Head of the Department of Architecture from its inception in 1987 to 2002. He has chaired several University committees, including the University Research, Administrative and Financial Reforms Committee. As a Vice-Chancellor, he is responsible for the academic, administrative and financial affairs of the University.
