Biography

Amb. Dr James Angok is a Professor of Political Science at the University of Juba. He is a renowned political analyst, commentator and a columnist and author. He served as a diplomat in the Headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Sudan at level of Second Secretary, First Secretary and as a Counsellor in the Embassy of Sudan in Brazil.

When South Sudan became independent, he was re-called to serve concurrently as senior diplomat, researcher, planner and trainer in the Headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of South Sudan.

Dr Angok holds a Ph.D. in Political Philosophy from the University of Nairobi, a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, and Social Sciences from Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA) in Nairobi.
